Sunday 3rd September, was the return of the brilliant annual Leytonstone StreetFest, which is hosted right outside our Leytonstone office here on Church Lane, ‘boasting an eclectic line-up that celebrates the best of the street and surrounding area,’ we were more than excited to come along this year and participate in the many thriving activities throughout the day as well as spread some cheer ourselves with a little help from our families.
This fantastic car free events theme this year was built around ‘Sustainability and Recycling’, so as well as enjoying the array of tasty local craft beers, food stalls, local bands, pop-up theatre and open mic sessions, you could also take the time out to learn more about growing your own plants and vegetables, what more could you want!
The whole Theydons family loved giving out our free balloons, which were a big hit, to all of the attendees and it was great to see so many familiar faces throughout the day, we started to feel famous by the end!
We also enjoyed looking around the brilliant Stones Throw Market which was held at St John’s Church and selling a great mix of vintage and retro clothes, homewares, jewellery, gifts, retro prints and our favourite local honey!
It was also great to see one of our favourite local coffee stops at the event, we could only be talking about the fabulous Perky Blenders!
