Shake the High Road
New Event! Here at Theydons we love to hear about new & local events to add to the already diverse mix we have in the heart of Leytonstone, so when we heard about ‘Shake The High Road’, a’ brand new one-day music festival across several venues in Leytonstone, East London’, which will feature ‘over 30 live bands and DJs, pop-up record fair, afternoon funk and soul session, local surprises and lots more!’
We knew we had to mention it in this weeks ‘What’s On’ as it’s not everyday you get a music festival right on your doorstep!
Saturday May 27th 2017 – each ticket gets access to all venues.

The Stone Space Exhibition – Counterpoint by Ivy Panesar and Philipa Day
Only on until the 28th May 2017, the popular independent non-for-profit, Stone Space Gallery situated on Church Lane, Leytonstone, just a few doors down from us here at Theydons, are hosting ‘a collaboration between two artists, previously unknown to each other, for an exhibition with the intention of the two artists selected entering into a dialogue or work together, with the results of this process being documented or exhibited.’
We love the concept behind this exhibition and think it’s a great addition to your day out here in Leytonstone!

Leyton Street Food Market
We have made it no secret just how much we love this eclectic and perfectly put together food & lifestyle market, which is set within the beautiful Coronation Gardens, Leyton.
And this Saturday 27th May, is extra special as they will be celebrating their 1st birthday!
So be sure to check out all of the festivities that they have in plan and spend the day drinking and eating in the sunshine with friends & family, you won’t be disappointed!

Another foodie & lifestyle market favourite of ours is the brilliant E17 Village Market, which is situated on Orford Rd, Walthamstow, E17, and offers a wide range of ‘artisan produce, international street food, homeware, clothing and gifts, by local residents and micro businesses.’ Making it a must see market for the whole family!
