This weekend sees the return of some of our local favourites supplying the community with an array of events & treats, that are great for the whole family!
Stones Throw Market
It’s back on the 5th May, this bank holiday weekend! Held at St Johns Church, Leytonstone, 11am – 4pm, ‘Stones Throw Market’ is one of our go to places this weekend, as not only do they have a great range of East London designers showcasing, but also throw in an eclectic mix of vintage and retro finds and not forgetting lots of delicious local honey sold by our favourites at Epping Good Honey , you’ve got yourself the recipe for the perfect day out here in Leytonstone!
Church Lane Car Park Street Food Market
It’s no lie that we love a good local street market here at Theydons, so when we heard about the new and exciting market being trialed this Spring here in Leytonstone and of all places Church Lane Car Park, which is so close to our office, we knew we had to spread the word!
Once you have worked up an appetite at the Stones Throw Market, we would definitely recommend taking a stroll to the market which is hosted by the fabulous Leyton Street Food, as this weekend along with offering an array of tasty food and drinks there will also be free cycle safety and maintenance checks of tyres, brakes, saddles and lights will also be available from experienced mechanics on a first-come, first-served basis.
The market will be open from 10am until 4pm on Saturdays 5th and 12th May and will consist of a variety of different stalls, such as, arts and crafts, local produce, up-cycled furniture, clothing and street food. So you know where you can find us during lunch hours!
The Stone Space Gallery
If you haven’t already visited the brilliant Stone Space Gallery, situated on Church Lane, Leytonstone, then we would definitely recommend a visit for the opportunity to escape the hustle and bustle of day to day life and truly immerse yourself into a varied display of art & culture.
‘The Stone Space is an independent not-for-profit gallery in Leytonstone that opened in October 2011 and occupies part of the ground floor of the Leytonstone Library building. It grew from the Leytonstone Arts Trail, an annual festival of visual art where artists display their work in a variety of venues around Leytonstone.’
